Swim Lessons are available to all members for a nominal fee of $10 per
child.
For MEMBERS 16 AND UP who want to learn to swim or improve their ability, there are private or group lessons available after 6 pm during the regular season. To set up times and dates, please contact the Pool Manager at 359-8450 and have a list of dates and times when you are available for lessons.
PRIVATE LESSONS are available for children on a limited basis. Please contact the Pool Manager at 359-8450 for more information.
GROUP LESSONS For CHILDREN ages 3 through 15
- 30-Minute group lessons are available from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm (3 separate lessons held a day) on Monday through Friday.
- Three 2-week sessions are available:
- Session I: begins the last week of June, ending first week of July
- Session II: begins the second week of July, ending the third week of July
- Session III: begins the last week of July and ends the first week of August
Note: If there is enough interest and instructors are available to teach, a
4th session may be added in August (mainly for August members), please speak
to Pool Manager for availability.
To take advantage of this privilege, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING:
- A Swim Lesson Sign-up form, which must be completed for each child requesting swim lessons, is available on the web site Forms menu, or at the Roycefield Office (ask one of the staff for a copy).
- All children must be toilet trained.
- Children will be placed into a class appropriate for their ability
(evaluation by a staff member may be necessary, but not required).
- The child must be available for the entire 2-week period (ie: no vacation scheduled) in order to sign up for a particular swim session.
- We ask that you make a concerted effort to attend all 10 lessons in order that your child gain the most benefit from the lessons.
- Any special requests must be made when you sign up on evaluation day, and although the staff will try to accommodate everyone, it is not always possible.
- Check the newsletter or web site for exact dates when lessons begin and end.
