Owner & Guest Policy

Roycefield is a 175-family-owned pool, allowing Roycefield Families to enjoy the facility for a yearly fee, and allows the Roycefield Family to bring guests to the pool per the following rules:

  1. Roycefield Family: defined as those family members who live within the registered family address for 12 months a year.

    1. Exceptions:

      1. A parent who does not live at the registered family address throughout the year (e.g., divorce), but brings the children to the pool as their guardian.
      2. A “guardian” (i.e., au pairs, who live in the household or a permanent babysitter not living in the home) who brings the children to the pool in lieu of parents. The Family will name this individual(s) on their yearly registration form.
      3. Individuals living with a Roycefield Family for the summer will be considered a “Special Family Member” (SFM). SFM’s can become a part of the “Roycefield Family” by paying a one time $100 (per individual) yearly fee.

        (For exceptions i or ii - individuals when not acting as Guardian, guest fees will apply)

      4. Guests: a Roycefield Family can bring individuals, not covered above, to the pool as a GUEST. Roycefield has a 5 visit per season individual GUEST guideline. Guest Fee rates are available Daily, Weekly, and by the Season. In addition to the guest policy, Roycefield offers its Families the ability to host a “Party”. Rules governing parties are covered elsewhere.

          3. Weekly Fees:

            1. Family Guests living with the Roycefield Family (i.e., visiting special family member, friend, cousin, exchange student, relative) - Posted rate is on the website.
            2. Family needs to contact the Pool Manager, or Membership Chairperson for authorization to exceed the 5 visits per guest guideline.
            3. Season:

              1. In special cases, approved by the Membership Chair, an individual may pay a fee of $100 for a full summer guest pass. An example of such a case: when a Roycefield family is responsible for a child who does not live at the member's home during the summer.

              2. Exceptions:

                1. Employees:

                  1. Guards and Gatekeepers
                    May bring 1 personal guest (at a time) to the pool when they are not working, when accompanied by the employee.
                  2. Pool Manager: Will have the Guest Privileges of a Roycefield Board Member.
                  3. Board Member: Has unlimited free guest and special party privileges.
                  4. Guest Tracking: gatekeepers have responsibility to keep track of visitors for the season, so we can monitor the 5 visits per year guideline. An alphabetical list of all guests will be maintained, and their dates of visit will be noted. When a guest exceeds 5 visits, the hosting member will be notified.
